Brian Whitenight: Pyrotechnic Artists Inc.

Brian Whitenight is a member of the nonprofit Pyrotechnic Artists Inc. and has over 25 years experience shooting off firework displays. One of the prime missions of the group is to work with people so they can learn to be safe around fireworks.
The laws in Pennsylvania have changed and fireworks in all forms are now legal for purchase in Pennsylvania.
Stop by this booth to learn about the types of fireworks available, how they work, see some great demos, and make a fun craft presented by the Children’s Museum!

Pepperhead will be hosting the amazing SCI-FI-LOPHONE booth but don’t miss taking home some of their famous pepper jelly! It is a Maker Faire crowd favorite!

Drone Hacking: Hijacking a drone in flight

In this demonstration I’ll show how to hack a drone. Many drones have vulnerabilities that make that susceptible to being hijacked remotely.

Maker Bill Bien will demonstrate how to prototype projects out of recyclable cardboard. Visitors will be able to see a prototype of one of the Children’s Museum’s newest exhibits and also learn how Raspberry Pi microcontrollers are used.

TODD GLADFELTER CHAINSAW ART

Todd Gladfelter has been working with wood for over forty years. A passion for whittling led to a career in fine furniture making. After attending log building school, he and his wife Cindy Ross spent four years building their home from local trees.

Todd will be actively carving at the Faire! Come see what work of art he creates!

LIGHTSTREET MAPLE SYRUP!

These young makers are a crowd favorite every year!

Lightstreet Maple Syrup will demonstrate the process of making maple syrup using the trees in your own backyard! We will let you know how big a maple tree has to be in order to be tapped, how to tap the tree, and how much syrup you can expect.

Be sure to stop buy – these young makers have their maple syrup for sale!

FOSTERING MY FAMILY

Fostering my family will be demonstrating how personalized items are made including wooden signs and glass items including wine glasses and candle holders. We will also have our button maker there to demonstrate how to make personalized buttons.
