Join Iva Kressler to learn about lace making and see the tools of the trade. The two principal techniques of lace making include bobbin lacing and tatting, the latter using a shuttle loaded with thread and a hook. The technique is similar to making a fishing net. Iva will be at the 2022 Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire teaching kids lace-making – bob and weave and finger tabbing. Try your hands at it!
This year’s Maker Faire will be held Saturday, April 23rd, from 10 am-4 pm. Admission to this all-day event is free! There will be a large variety of Making activities, workshops, presentations, performances, crafters, the Museum’s 50+ exhibits, and the Bloomsburg YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day.
