In the weeks leading up to the 2018 Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire, we will be profiling the Makers that are appearing at the Faire!

 

Daddy and Daughter Electronics is a YouTube show in which Kathryn (12 yo) and her father build and explain custom electronics. Several interactive demos will be available at the Maker Faire, such as electronic components for attendees to build simple circuits.

Kathryn has been making from an early age. She is a lifelong Linux user. When she was 9 she learned Python. A year later she began learning electronics and has since built several electronic devices with her father. She is a Trekie and SciFi fan. She also likes to edit videos and pack parachutes.

Phil was born at an early age. He has been playing with electronics and computers starting at age 8. He has also been known to fly, build airplanes, teach others how to fly, and skydive. When not aviating or building things with his children he teaches cybersecurity and digital forensics at Bloomsburg University.

This year’s Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10am-4pm on the grounds of the Children’s Museum right in the heart of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

Admission to this all-day event is FREE. There will be a large variety of Making activities, workshops and presentations and the Museum’s 50+ exhibits.
